Application in the automation of maintainance in the aviation industry. I lead the proejct with researchers from Engineering (aerospace) and Maths Dept and GE Aviation UK.
PhD student (CSRC and Engineering and Mathematics). Peter is senior product support engineer at GE Aviation. He holds BA in Electronic Engineering and MSc in advanced tech. in electronics.
Peter works on "a new framework to identify a common multilevel structure (event interdependency) of maintenance repairs to allow the prediction of the repair
outcome of electronic components in avionics. Our framework, MARCONI (eMbeddings frAmework foR Classification Of
avioNic repaIrs) based on Word2Vec to create a customised word
embedding is under ongoing development"

PhD student at the Computer Sciecne Research Centre. Tutoring in the Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics course. Previously Ryan worked with UWE's ITS on software development (internal funding; ITS and FET).
Ryan works on conversational agents; the Task-oriented Dialogue Systems or chatobs in particular. His research focuses on examining and evaluating the sensitivity of TODS (task-oriented dialogue systems / chatbots) performance to conversational quality attributes, and exploring methods to steer their performance on the basis of optimising attributes’ temporal variability in dialogue.
