Who should read this?
This guide is aimed new users of TryHackMe.com or those interested in using this platform to further their cyber security training.
TryHackMe.com has a both a free and subscription model. The free tier allows access to a large number of 'rooms' or 'hacktivities', whilst the subscription-based offer allows full access to the site. Subscribing also gives access to a browser based Kali machine so that you do not need your own Virtual Machine to connect using.
This guide gives a guided path in taking you from zero to hero using the free resources. However, if you have a subscription, I also recommend signing up for one of the TryHackMe 'Learning Paths'.
