Some Introductory CSS Exercises

Exercise 1

1. In your file area create a folder/directory with the name ‘Jabberwocky’.
2. Download   files1.zip   and unzip its contents into the folder ‘Jabberwocky'.
   (If the file does not automatically open in WinZip, Unzip the file by double clicking on it, selecting 'Extract', and choosing the target folder.)
   You should end up with the following files in your Jabberwocky folder:
   
   Jabberwocky.css
   Jabberwocky.htm
   JabberwockyFrench.htm
   backtile.gif
   jabber2.gif
3. Open the file ‘Jabberwocky.htm’ in a Browser window.
4. Open the files ‘Jabberwocky.htm’ and ‘ Jabberwocky.css’ in a text editor.
   I suggest PFE (Programmer’s File Editor) – found in UWE in Start – Programs – Utilities
   
   Download PFE for home use at   c|net Download.com  
5. Study the files ‘Jabberwocky.htm’ and ‘Jabberwocky.css’ in the text editor.
6. Look at the ‘Jabberwocky.htm’ in the browser.
7. Use the link at the top of the Jabberwocky page to go to the ‘In French’ file.
