System Modelling Research Group

The Systems Modelling Research Group comprises a group of researchers drawn from the faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences at  the University of the West of England and the School of Management at the University of Bath:

Some key members of the  process modelling community from industry, commerce and academe are  associated with the SMRG:

A number of students are also currently closely associated with the SMRG, including:

A number of students, formerly associated with the group, have now completed their research degrees:

UWE groups who are working in related areas include:

The primary focus of the group is processes. In particular we are interested in investigating,  modelling, analysing, re-engineering, designing, and simulating processes. We are also interested in supporting them with computer-based systems.

A PowerPoint presentation on process capture and process modelling is available via Microsoft Explorer (for an animated version) or Netscape Navigator (for a static version).
