Walks and Talks Around Easton and the Frome

• Living Easton and Free the Frome announce Walks and Talks Around Easton and Along the River Frome
• Members of Living Easton lead regular History and Environment walks around our area.
• These walks can be around our Time-Signs Trail and/or along the River Frome, (from Eastville Park to our city centre). We are pleased to announce that 'our' stretch the River Frome is to be incorporated into the official Frome Valley Walkway in Summer 1999.
• We are equally happy to organise walks for individuals or for groups.
• We also lead walks in conjunction with other organisations e.g.
  The Narroways Action Group,
  Ramblers Association,
  Friends of the Seven Beach Railway (FOSBER),
  Friends of the Earth.

We can lead Walks and Talks on particular themes, e.g. 'The Importance of the River Frome', 'Public Art in Easton', 'Social and Industrial History', 'Local Industries, Colonialism and Slavery, 'Our Environment', 'The Quakers in East Bristol'.

One World Week Walk

A pause to talk

We led a walk for people from Westbury-on-Trym on Sunday, October 17th, 1999 as part of One World Week.

Here are two views of walkers along the River Frome and one of viewing Bill Guildings fantastic mural at Stapleton Road Station. In all there were around 40-45 people on the walk who came from different Christian places of worship in Westbury, Bristol.

If you wish to come as a group then we can organise lunches, snacks, picnic meals, refreshments, etc. from the array of international cuisines available in our neighbourhood.
