My research interests center on interactive metaheuristic search and machine learning, and in particular, interactive Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE) approaches for software architecture, design and refactoring.

I'm a member of the Artificial Intelligence theme within the Computer Science Research Centre (CSRC). Here are some publications and specifications of the case studies used in my research, and Google Scholar Citations.

In 2016, I supervised an Innovate UK funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Paxport Group UK Ltd, Bristol, UK. I'm also currently supervising a further KTP with VQ Communications, Wiltshire, UK.

On BSc Computer Science, I teach the modules Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Systems Development and Computing Projects. I also supervise MSc Software Engineering Dissertations.

I'm a Chartered IT Professional and a Member of the British Computer Society and the Association of C and C++ Users, two fine organisations promoting professionalism in software development. I'm a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, and also a member of the governing board of the Cirencester College IT Academy.

And for fun...
