Further information

The staff and students of the Information Systems School of the CEMS Faculty have developed this experimental service to provide information on all bus services serving UWE Frenchay campus. The aim is to add interactive and dynamic sources to existing static paper or web sources.

Information is based on published timetables. Timetables cover term-time, holiday timetables,week-day and Sat-Sun timetables.

This service is also a demonstration of the kinds of information system being build by students in the Information System School, using PHP and MySQL. See the documentation for further technical  information.  A background paper on Travel information systems generally is here.

The CEMS faculty pays for the reply message in the SMS service. Sponsership would be very welcome to help defray this cost.

Contact Chris Wallace in CEMS with any queries or comments on this information service. There is a log of outstanding bugs, issues and suggested improvements. Please contact the service providers in all issues relating to the quality and frequency of service!
