Motored up the Thames with tide into a brisk westerly , but still arrived ahead of time, enough to go up river to Tower Bridge. A clean, calm, live-aboard marina, rather like the Bristol marina we left nearly 4 months ago.

Moored at Queensborough, Isle of Sheppey after a great sail in stong SEly through the sandbanks of the Thames estuary. Crossed the Spitway not long after low water and saw 0.9 m beneath the keel in steep seas. Now cozy, listening to the rain which started soon after we moored.

Moored at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club with our friends on Tokomaru, another Westerly Conway who we first met 10 nyears ago in the lsles des Cies. After a perfect sail past Southwold, Sizewell, Aldeburgh, Orford Ness and motoring past Harwich/Felixstow and into the Orwell. A walk to Pin Mill in the twilight. This is what cruising is about

An early start to catch the tide down the coast - a clear day, light wind from the west - an excellent day in prospect.

Strange feeling to be leaving the boat for a few weeks. At least we can see it on the YC web cam (when its light!)
