Welcome to espressoMaths

espressoMaths, which started operations in September 2008, is a centrally located drop by station available to all UWE students and to all UWE employees. The drop by station is at Frenchay campus, and, for the first time, at Glenside campus.  At Frenchay, the location is adjacent to the espressoMaths pillar in OneZone, and availability will be 1200-1400, Monday-Friday.  At Glenside, espressoMaths will be in Traders 1230-1430 on Wednesdays.

If you need help with a particular mathematical or statistical problem,  then just pop along to an espressoMaths session, sit down at the espressoMaths table, and have a chat with one of the staff on duty;  this person will be able to provide you with free user-friendly advice concerning your problem.

In addition to providing face-to-face/one-to-one help, the person on duty might also direct you to online or to other learning resources for your own self-study. Note that espressoMaths has an associated handout repository, situated in Room 2Q53 at Frenchay,  where you will find a large selection of takeaway material covering many mathematical and statistical topics.

Of course, if your problem happens to be directly related to one of your modules, then you should ensure that you have exhausted all the usual module resources before bringing along the issue to espressoMaths.
