I am based within the Faculty of CEMS at the University of the West of England and am currently Manager of RAMP: Revolutionary Aerospace Machining Project, a new venture at UWE to develop technology to facilitate the ultra high speed machining of aerospace materials. My other research interests include manufacturing simulation and modelling, super-plastic forming and diffusion bonding technologies, design for assembly/manufacture of large scale products and Lean Manufacturing. Additional interests include the use of e-based systems for the education, training and assessment - specifically the use of computer based simulation games
My areas of expertise are Business / manufacturing Systems Simulation and modelling - general manufacturing / supply chain / lean and also / costing and cost modelling.
I have KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership experience including industrial funded Research and Technology project management, and short course development and delivery.
