    <biography>
    	<p>I have extensive experience from many years working in the aerospace industry.</p>
	<h3>Current Projects</h3>
	<p>Laser transparent ceramics - Sucessful Application for PhD studentship with <a href="http://www.greatwesternresearch.ac.uk/">Great Western Research</a> with <a href="http://www.listechnology.com/">LisTechnology Ltd</a> for Laser Induced Superplasticity Technology Ltd.'The world's first laser based manufacturing cell'.</p>
	<p>The <a href="http://www.uwe.ac.uk/cems/research/centres/amrc/ramp.html">RAMP (Revolutionary Aerospace Machining Processes)</a> project aims to investigate the further deployment of High Performance Machining (HPM) in the Aerospace industry, especially of new materials such as titanium, Waspalloy, and Jetheat. HPM technology is no longer novel but its utilisation within the aerospace industry is still limited, mainly for machining aluminium components.</p>

	<p>I am chairman of the Association of Aerospace Universities <a href="http://www.aau.ac.uk">http://www.aau.ac.uk</a> <a href="http://www.aau.ac.uk/west_of_england.htm">http://www.aau.ac.uk/west_of_england.htm</a>.</p>
	<p>I am a member of the <a href="http://www.aeigt.co.uk/workinggroup3.shtml">AEIGT group</a> Aerospace Innovation and Growth Team working group 3 as a representative of the <a href="www.aau.ac.uk">AAU</a>. The AeIGT is made up of industry, Government and academia representatives working together to ensure the competitiveness of UK Aerospace over the next twenty years.</p>
