My research interests center on the involvement of software developers in Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE) and in particular, interactive 'human-in-the-loop' search approaches for software architecture, design and refactoring. I'm a member of the Artificial Intelligence Group and the
the Software Engineering Research Group. Here are some publications and specifications of the case studies used in my research, and Google Scholar Citations.

On BSc Computer Science, I teach the modules Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Systems Development and Computing Projects. On MSc Software Engineering, my teaching includes Emerging Topics in Software Engineering and Software Engineering Dissertations.

I'm a Chartered IT Professional and a member of the British Computer Society and the Association of C and C++ Users, two fine organisations promoting professionalism in software development.
I'm also a member of the governing board of the Cirencester College IT Academy.

And for fun...
I enjoy scuba diving with the
Clifton Sub-Aqua Club and rowing with the Bristol Pilot Gig Club in Bristol.
